Ohio Seniors See an Increase in Abuse
As reported by The Columbus Dispatch in their article “Abuse of Ohio seniors at critical level. Golden years come with pain for 300,000,” according to state data, around one in 10 Ohio seniors have been victims of elder abuse.
“There are nearly three million Ohioans aged 60 and older, according to reports from the Ohio Department of Aging. That’s about 25% of our state’s population. Approximately 1 in 10 seniors are victims of elder abuse,” The Columbus Dispatch said.
