Understanding the Statute of Limitations in Malpractice Cases

As detailed by Nolo in their article “Medical Malpractice Lawsuits and the Statute of Limitations”, every state limits the time you have to file a medical malpractice claim often two to three years from the date of injury or discovery. However, exceptions exist for minors, fraud, or cases where the injury wasn’t immediately apparent.
