Ohio Appeals Court Decision Offers Hope for Suspended Drivers

As reported by The Columbus Dispatch in their article, “Is Your Driver’s License Suspended? New Ohio Court Ruling May Allow You to Get It Back,”, some Ohio drivers with long-term license suspensions may soon have a chance to regain their driving privileges.
Key Details of the Court Ruling:
- The Ohio 10th District Court of Appeals ruled that the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) must lift certain license suspensions.
- This applies to drivers whose licenses were suspended 15 or more years ago for uninsured driving and at-fault accidents, if their insurer has not attempted to collect on a claim.
- Over 1 million Ohioans had suspended licenses as of 2022, and several thousand may now be eligible for reinstatement.
