Personal injury claim could potentially stem from Ohio accident

Car AccidentsNews   September 24, 2014

Many individuals know that intersections can be dangerous parts of roadways and act at scenes to numerous accidents. When a truck accident occurs at an intersection, authorities may have multiple factors to consider when attempting to determine what may have caused the accident. They may need to look into who may have had the right of way, speed on the part of any approaching vehicles and other aspects that may have contributed, especially if it resulted in a personal injury.

Authorities in Ohio may be looking into such factors after an accident took place. It was reported that the driver of a vehicle apparently stopped at a stop sign, but after traveling into an intersection, the vehicle was hit by a semi-truck. It was not noted whether all direction at the intersection had stop signs or who may have had the right of way.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the first vehicle had to be extracted by emergency crews. He was seriously injured in the accident and had to be transported to an area hospital. The accident is continuing to be investigated by authorities to determine causes and who may have been at fault for the incident.

Most drivers hope to make it through their lifetime without being involved in a truck accident. Unfortunately, these events can happen to anyone at any given time. If the investigation into this Ohio accident leads authorities to believe that the truck driver may be considered responsible due to excessive speed or other potential factors, the injured driver of the other vehicle could possibly have cause to file a personal injury claim.
