Two suffer personal injury after Ohio two-vehicle accident

Car AccidentsNews   October 7, 2015

When an Ohio resident is at home, doing whatever types of things he or she normally does when at home, it is unexpected to have a motor vehicle come barreling through the side of the house. However, that is exactly what happened in Ohio on a recent Tuesday morning. Two people suffered personal injury in a crash involving a dump truck and a car that ended up leaving wreckage inside the home of a private resident in the area.

The dump truck was said to have been traveling in a westbound direction when the recent accident occurred. The driver of another car reportedly pulled out in front of the truck. The dump truck driver was apparently unable to avoid a collision and struck the car.

Upon impact, the car veered off the road and hit a tree. The dump truck was sent careening through a nearby home. The vehicle crashed through the garage and living room of the house. The homeowner was in his kitchen when the truck came hurtling into his house. He was not physically injured in any way.

The drivers of both vehicles suffered personal injury and were taken to area medical facilities for treatment. Ohio law protects motorists who are injured due to the negligence of another driver. In such cases, it is possible to file a legal claim in a civil court in order to seek compensation for damages sustained in the accident. In cases in which no bodily injury occurred, but property has been damaged as a result of a motor vehicle crash, a property owner can pursue legal action after identifying the source or sources of liability in the incident.
